today a woman i didn't know
recognized me
thought i was my Mom
praised her as a wonderful woman
all the kids thought of fondly
i felt so proud
and grateful for her kind words
she said it was my smile
and positive attitude
she said we resemble our mothers
as we grow
older
and that other people have said
the same
of her
